MAIA MORALES SHE/HER

President

Maia is the President for the Music Therapy Club at Rowan and is a junior Music Therapy major. Maia has a concentration in voice, but she also enjoys playing the piano, guitar, and the drums. Maia says she enjoys the club because its allowed her to expand her knowledge on Music Therapy for her studies in ways she can’t even explain, as well as make great bonds with peers that will last a long time. She loves how diverse this club is and enjoys seeing how much others love it. Outside of music, Maia enjoys spending time with her friends and family, drawing, and dappling a bit in photography. Maia is super excited to be the President of the Music Therapy Club this year! She adores the club, and she hopes to spread the joys of Music Therapy with more of her peers.

DESIREE BICZEL SHE/HER

Vice President 

Desiree is the Vice President for the Music Therapy Club at Rowan. Desiree is a sophomore Music Therapy major. For Desiree, the Music Therapy Club is exciting as it allows her to know what it feels like the be a recipient of being a client in music therapy. Not only does Desiree find the club to be super fun, but she says it has introduced her to so many different experiences and interventions that she never thought of before! A fun fact about Desiree is that she loves banana ice cream.

ALEX JAGADISH BHARATH HE/THEY

Secretary

Alex is the Secretary for the Music Therapy Club at Rowan. Alex is a Biological Sciences major! Alex loves the club because “it's pretty chill and I’m able to learn a lot too.” They think that if you want to be apart of a fun club that does a lot, but also teaches you about music and how helpful it can be, you should definitely join and be apart of the club! 

JENNA HOPKINS SHE/HER

Treasurer

Jenna is the treasurer of the Music Therapy Club. She is a junior and a double major in Music Therapy and Musical Theatre. Jenna loves the club because it’s a great way to spread awareness of music therapy and to expand her own knowledge  about the field. She says that it’s a wonderful group of people and she always loves getting together to learn and jam. A fun fact about Jenna is: “The house in Up is suspended by 10,297 balloons. It’s my favorite movie of all time, and if you ask me about it, I WILL go on a long rant about it.”

HANNAH ROSE LAFFERTY- ZOLTOWSKI SHE/HER

Historian

Hannah Rose is the historian of the Music Therapy Club and is a senior Music Therapy major. She loves the club because it’s a great way to learn more about music therapy and practice interventions. Attending meetings is always a great experience because everyone is so kind and supportive! In her free time, Hannah Rose loves reading and hiking.

DR. ANDREA MCGRAW HUNT SHE/HER

Advisor

Dr. Andrea McGraw Hunt is the Advisor for the Music Therapy Club at Rowan, as well as director of the Rowan Music Therapy program. She has practiced music therapy since 1997 with clients in various settings, including skilled nursing, inpatient psychiatric, and residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation, in addition to private practice in the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music. Her research focuses on the use of electroencephalogram (EEG) in live music therapy experiences, particularly addressing mental health needs. Outside of music therapy she enjoys doing gymnastics and flying trapeze, gardening, and traveling with her family.
